Season of Love

Season of Love

A Poem by Ennay
"

All we can do is... Bask in the glory of the winter sun.. Maybe this is the season of Love.

 Season of Love

I watch as the leaves change color.

As they fall off their trees and wither.

I see frost begin to cover the ground.

Crunching beneath my feet as I walk.

I perform with the orchestra in the morning.

Write thank you letters next.

Perform with the band around noon.

And test in the evening.

But all I can think about is the weather outside.

The mountain-breeze.

The hidden waterfalls.

The Christmas decorations transforming my house into..

A winter wonderland.

I think about the Night of Lights.

The horses pulling carriages.

The ships set sail with new and old tourists of the city.

And the entire city glowing from the decorations.

I see a couple standing in the gazebo.

They stood in the middle of a beautiful lit-up park.

Nobody there to disturb them.

No one there to witness.

Except for me.

I will always love winter over fall.

Perhaps this is why.

Maybe this is the season of love.

And I can’t wait for the day..

That I’ll finally get to spend it with someone.
