And then I go and spoil it all by sayin' somethin' stupid like...

Somethin’ Stupid

I remember when we dreamed of stupid things.

Many people still do.

Some wish to become wealthy.

Others dream of living amongst the stars.

I never really knew what I wanted.

In some ways, I still don’t know.

But now there are things I am sure of.

Whatever these things are.

I want them to be the right choice.

I always do things for a reason.

I may not always know that reason.

And that’s okay.

I don’t need to know everything.

I used to say the stupidest things.

So worried about what other people thought of me.

I’m still like that.

Though I don’t care as much as I used to.

It depends on the person.

I was asked a few questions today.

One of them was this..

“What did you dream about as a kid?”

I replied with, “My family.”

That wasn’t really the answer they wanted.

But it was an honest one.

They were trying to find my passion by asking me a number of questions.

They failed nonetheless, but..

But it had me thinking.

About those stupid things I want.

A home that is not just a house.

A family that is not just a dog or a cat.

Something simple like that.

I don’t want the world.

I don’t want riches.

I just want something that makes me happy.
