Death

Death

A Poem by Lulu
"

You decide...

"

As it corner's you you have no escape

No way to run no way to hide

It's to late this day was bound to come

It will be dark for some but for others

It will be a relief

Why does this happen to us?

The Lord created us to LIVE

But what has a beginning

Must have an end right?

What about after

What will happen?

Heaven or Hell?

What we do today affects

our afterlife.

A short but still well done piece, brevity is the soul of wit as the Bard says. Nothing here is overdone, or superfluous - something I cannot say for anything I write this review included, apologies for that.

It asks its question unabashedly, "Heaven or Hell?" and it demands of us an answer but more importantly a realisation. This life and our decisions within will decide our fate, that is our choice...the limit of our free will or so this piece transcribes.

Wonderfully done, I may dissent from the sentiment and the assumptions it makes but I cannot criticise the piece itself. So bravo and please do keep writing!

Regards,
A.E.
