Chapter 6: Broken

Chapter 6: Broken

A Chapter by Lulu

Note from the author: This is the first time I'm writing a POV for Jasmyne.

Jasmynes PoV-

I spun around on the spinny chair infront of my desk. I stared out onto the platform looking for something, dozing off.

My fingers automatically reached out for the note. Ew no don't do that! Why! I don't want to deal with this right now.

"Hey Kaels!" I called out pinching the note between both of my index fingers and thumbs.

"Yeah?" She said strutting over and leaning on the top edge of my chair.

"When do you think we meet up with this guy?" I said staring off into space.

"I don't know and I don't care. Nice crop top!" She said pinching the short sleeves of my crop top. She was doing it again. I can tell.

"Oh why thank you but no you are not getting out of this mess." I said getting up to close the room door.

"Why!" She asked as I slumped on my bed.

"Don't you think it'll be fun?" I grinned at her.

"We don't know who this is Jas! For all we know he can be a rapist..." She said the last part under her breath.

I gave her my uncomfortable stare I gave my dad when I wasn't allowed to go rock climbing. Daddy was right when he said no.

"Fine. But I'm not meeting up with him at midnight." She said reluctantly.

"We won't have to, I bet he would've kno-"

I was cut off by a huge crash the came from downstairs, Sandra.

Kaely and I stared at each other wide-eyes before marching down the staircase.

Sandra was bent over with the broom pan in her hand. Broken glass was shattered everywhere...

"Sandra what happened!" Kaely yelled frustrated.

"This vase with flowers fell..." She said looking away as she threw away glass in a bag.

"Fell? Sandra that loud of a crash?" I said she turned her back as I noticed a card on the floor. Kaely pointed at it as I nodded and picked it up. Slipping it in my back pocket.

"Do you guys see a card on the floor? It was from the vase and I need it." She said getting up and swiping her forehead with the back of her hand.

"No but why did you smash the vase? Who was it from?" We questioned her. She sighed and flicked her colorful hair bending over again.

"My ex." Kaely and I bursted out laughing at that. She hasn't had a serious relationship ever since God knows when!

"Yeah ok..." Kaely said as she cuffed my wrist and dragged me up the stairs.

"Dude what does the note say?!" I took the note and read it outloud.

We sat in the bathroom floor.

"Meet me at the park at 6 pm while the sun is still out... Xoxo Jeff." I said.

"That might be the time for us! What if Jeff knows the guy in the black outfit?!" She exclaimed.

"What if its not and we look like idiots?" I said under breath. She began to tap her fingers on the floor, thinking.

"Well excuse me for trying to think off something." She got up and opened the door to leave.

"What are you talking about?" I followed her out into her room where she laid down on he bed.

"It's always you figuring stuff out and being the smart one!" She exclaimed which made me giggle.

"Dude I'm the dumb blonde here. All I care about is clothes while you're actually trying to figure it out dude!" I tried comforting her.

"LIES! I'm a wimp!" She cried out.

"We're both wimps!" I said hugging her.
