Something collided with my head as Jasmyne and I began to come out from the trees. What the hell? I thought to myself. I was then reminded that we were on a beach... There were people... With nets... And a volleyball... Much like so the one that decided to hit me. A blonde boy walked up to me, obviously the owner of the ball. I held onto it tapping my fingers and licking my lips. Jasmyne stood behind me as he approached us. "Huh-uh look at that v-line..." She muttered behind me. "Hi..." I said smiling. "This must be yours..." I said trailing off and looking away. "Uh yeah sorry about that... What's your name?" He said shrugging it off. "I'm Kaely..." I responded awkwardly smiling. "Uh um..." Coughed Jasmyne as she stood behind me. "And this is Jasmyne." I said reluctantly. "Nice to meet you both, Im Dylin!" We both smiled at each other brightly. "Hey um wanna go play with me and my friends?" I turned to view a group of boys and girls. They were all sun-kissed with perfect bodies. Every boy had a six pack, while all the girls had straight teeth with flat stomachs. Hollister models. Has to be. And then there was us... "Umm... Not today sorry, we kind of have to go..." I replied stumply. "Aight, see you around?" He asked as he walked backwards to his group of friends. "Definitely..." I bit my lip as he winked and turned to jog back to his friends. "Definitely!" Piped Jasmyne mockingly once Dylin was gone. I realized I was daydreaming, again. We both sauntered across the beach arms crossed to our house. "You my friend just got love struck." Said Jasmyne lingering behind me. "Lies I just met him!" I threw my hands up and shook my head. Okay... Maybe I was in denial, but hey! It's called being a teenager. "We'll we don't know him. You better be careful Kaels..." She said jogging up the steps and into our house. "I will... I GOT THIS!" I imitated George Lopez as I closed the door.
Maybe she was right, maybe it was love at first sight. But that doesn't always exist. Or work out correctly. © 2013 Lulu |
