Chapter 3: Outside the window And the Note

Chapter 3: Outside the window And the Note

A Chapter by Lulu

The haunting wind howled overhead as Jasmyne and I looked out the window. There he was again, the man wearing all black! (He seriously needs a new outfit.)But when I opened the window and saw him, he took off.
"Let's go!" Jasmyne said pulling out the door. Outside, the cool sand stuck to my feet each step I took.
"Let's check out the place where he was standing." I replied. We walked to the wall of the house and under my window. A pile of pebbles lined up on the sand. A note nestled between two rocks as I picked it up. All it read was:
M/H/E E/J/T M/G/E. A/K/T T/R/H E/R/P A/D/R K/G

"What the..?" I questioned...
"It's a code smart one..." Jasmine replied
"What does it say...?"
"I don't know, I just know its a code.."
"So he's trying to communicate with us right?" I asked.
"Yeah I guess so! Lets go inside its cold and I need my sexy rest...!"
"You mean beauty Jas..." I replied
"No I mean sexy..." She said cocky.
We walked towards the front door my oversized silky pajamas swishing besides me. Jasmyne reached out her hand to open the front door just find that it had been locked. She turned around giving me a dirty look.
"Seriously why would you lock the door?" She barked.
"I didn't lock the door! You were out first!" I barked back.
"Well I didn't lock it!"
"Whatever lets just go through the window...jeez..." We walked back to the side of the house, my window remaining open. I slouched over as Jasmyne climbed up on my back. She grasped on to the wire and propped herself to the window. Her slim body entered my room. I walked and waited at the front of my house. I re-read the note that was in my hand. It made absolutely no sense. Jasmyne opened the door and I went up to bed.
"What a summer so far..." I thought before I fell asleep. A million thoughts raced through my mind all at once.

Jasmyne barged into my room the next morning.
"KAELS I THJNK I GOT THE CODE!" She yelled.
"No way! What is it? How!?" I questioned.
"Okay so just take out every middle letter in each section."
I followed her instructions and came up with,"meet me at the park"
"Dude what does this mean? We don't know the dude..."
"I know but KAELS we have to go..!"
"What time though?" I clutched the note in my hand. This had to be a trick! Just then Sandra called us down for breakfast.
"Let's talk after, don't let Sandra know okay?" Demanded Jasmyne. A chill went up my spine. Who know that our summer vacation would turn into a complete weird mystery case. I mean some random guy in black telling us to meet him at the park. But the truth was that I didn't want to go with Jasmyne. This guy can be some pedophile...
I slid into my bikini and put on shorts and a tee. Maybe a swim at the beach would help. I put on my rubber sandals and skipped downstairs.
"Mhmmm pancakes! Since when San?" I grabbed a plate and drowned the fluffy treats in syrup.
"Since I got my license that's when!" She replied
"Jas and I are gonna go for a swim at the beach wanna come?" I said as Jasmyne slid I to the seat beside me.
"Nah I got a job..." She said proudly. Jasmyne and I choked on our pancakes as soon as she said that.
"You, a job? You do know what that means right?" Jasmyne said, Sandra's eyes lit up and dollar signs took over eyelids.
"Duh! It means that I be making doe... As a dishwasher..." Sandra said.
" Haha you be getting pruny hands all day!" I said chugging down orange juice.
"We should go to the beach now." I grabbed my canvas bag and headed out the door with Jasmyne as my tail.
