Chapter 2: Let The Stalking BeginA Chapter by LuluWe
arrived at our favorite Store; Strike 1. The linoleum floors squeaking behind us, we
made our way all throughout the store. By the time we got out of there we were
ready to eat. We then traveled ourselves to the food court. I ordered crispy
chicken wings, Jasmyne ordered a cheeseburger. I noticed that Jasmyne kept on
ironically staring over my shoulder. As if on the lookout for something. "Jasmyne,
what are you staring at?" I asked her, then I noticed that she froze. "C'mon
we got to get out of here!" "Dude!
What's going on!?!" I raced to catch up to her. She quickly stopped,
causing me to bump into her. "Remember
that guy we saw on the motorcycle?" She whispered slash screamed. "Yeah,
the crazy one melting in black clothing on this hot summer day..." I
replied waiting for her reaction. "Well,
I just saw him!" She said vividly. "Okay...
Does that give you any reason for to run off like that?" "Kaely,
he had a gun in his pocket." She replied fright. "How
did you know?" I tested her. Jasmyne was the kind of girl who would do
anything to get out of a certain plan or event. My sweaty palms took her
shoulders as she froze. All of a sudden we heard a loud gunshot. My first
instinct was to duck. But Jasmynes' idea was run. "He
was staring right at me the whole time Kaely!" She said while we were
running. Swiftly and like a lion we slipped into the nearest store. Just to
find out the nearest store to us was also the nearest store to him. We hid in
the dressing room trying to open the window. "How
can he be doing something like this? It's the mall!" I questioned. Jasmyne
and I ran all the way to the park together. My shoes started giving me painful
blisters from all that running. We sat down on the closest bench, where we
decided to catch our breathe. I checked the time on my phone. 9:34. We left at
around 9:35. On the
way home we noticed an awkward presence or feeling surrounding us. I decided to
text my sister to see if she was alright. Me: Hey is
everything alright? Sandra: You
have to come home now!! Me: Why? Sandra: GET
YOUR BUTT HOME RIGHT NOW!!!!! Me: Okay I'm
going...look who's taking her responsibilities in action... As soon
as I spotted the front door I knew something was wrong. Front door wide open
with broken windows, walking inside was worse... It was
neat, but the rooms were a mess. As if someone lost something. Sandra got all
her money stolen, Jasmyne lost a real gold ring, but I didn't lose anything. "Are
we going to call the cops or what?" I stared at Sandra as if she knew
something that we didn't. "I already did, they said that this kind of stuff has been happening frequently and their on the case." Sandra informed me as if she knew what I was thinking. Later on
that night I was awaken by a strange noise coming from outside. I got up and
walked towards the window, the frosty bright moon shining down on me like a
spotlight, the stars twinkling in the sky, as the breeze up above carried
thoughts and secrets from miles away. I looked out into the ocean and all I saw
was the waves intimidating the sand and crashing on to them. I crept back to
bed and just when I was going to sleep, a pebble being thrown at my window. I
ignored the pebble throwing and tried to fall back asleep, however, it didn't
stop! As if someone was committed to wake me up. The problem was, I didn't know
who it was. I got my comfy sweater off of the chair next to me and got on the
floor. I was in fear of whoever it was that was bothering me. Hands and knees I
crawled into Jasmynes’ room in order to wake her up. I pinched her cheeks until
she finally sat up in bed. Together we sneakily went over to the window and hid
under the wooden ledge. The pebbles continued; *tap
tap tap*. “Okay on the count of three…” I whispered to
her. “One,
two, three!” We quickly opened the window just to find something that absolutely
took our breathe away… © 2013 LuluReviews
