A Goodbye LetterA Poem by EnitteA letter for my dear father.I didn’t want to admit it before But I took you for granted. You wanted my love You wanted my company But I was too busy being selfish And neglectful that I lost track And now your time as ended, And your candle extinguished. I cried for you, I really did But my pride got in the way and so I said my goodbyes a little too late. I bet you wanted to hear it back then When you were gasping for attention And at the end all I could say is I’m sorry And that I’ll always love you forever I felt regret, but I’m calm now I know that you have found the light and that your spirit is finally at rest. like I said before in your last morning. I will keep my promise, and I will always be a great daughter that your proud eyes have always seen I love you father; and I’ll always will. © 2011 EnitteAuthor's Note
