I'd die for you

I'd die for you

A Poem by Woody
"

can't find a thing to say. sorry

"

They’d finished making love and lay, spent

They were sprawled in the shade, dozing off

He looked into her eyes and he went:

I’d die for you, I’m not showing off

She purred: pray tell how many times, dude

And climbed in the dumpster, looking for food

Woody, my good man ... I simply insist you meet a pal of mine I met on this very day. He's the 3rd Musketeer. He's probably a tad more romantic in spirit. But that's what's great about him.

And it would be a weeping tale of sorrow should you guys miss out on each other.

Today is one of those rare days me thinks :)

Hi Woody :)
A bit of the twist at the end there! Funny.... although, everyone has their needs...
I like the alliteration of love/lay and sprawled/shade. I always enjoy rhymed poetry, makes it flow.
I think maybe using speech marks around the dialogue would be a good idea, although I'm not sure if you're after critique or just indication of reader enjoyment.... either way, I enjoyed this a lot :)
Cheers, Debra :)

thanks again Cat. glad you liked it.
Hey, food, like love, is where you find it. After all that sex and sprawling about, someone's gotta go for the sandwiches. (or is it fish heads?)
