coffee's coursing through my veins
as the moon waxes and wanes
I'm jittery and fit to howl
my eyes are like those of an owl

How did you know that the full moon affects me like coffee? I get so hyper, I sometimes don't sleep for a few nights, during each full moon. My thoughts come rushing constantly, yet I can't settle down to capture them in words. You've described this feeling so well in so few words. "I'm jittery & fit to howl" is definitely my favorite line & also my new anthem! *smile* (((HUGS)))

hahaha so all this time I've been interacting with a werewolf and didn't know it?
tell you the truth, the spells of insomnia I've experienced are rare and far between, thank god. I imagined that's how an insomniac would feel.

Something as bitter has usually the same effect on me. Love the piece, and the image within. It's not to be called silly, I think; rather all so clever, considering the condition of your nerves while writing this. :)

Short but entertaining. And true.
I suffered insomnia and the jittery feeling was the worst. Especially the restless leg syndrome which I sgill get. But you do feel fit to howl, to scream.
Well told in few words. Takes skill to do so.

I've suffered from insomnia only once in my life thank god for that. I know it can be terrible.
