The Sheep Made To Wear Wolves ClothingA Poem by England777It's about infiltration..
The Sheep, made to wear wolves clothing.
As the sheep went about their day, gnawing on pastures plain, And airing their beatings.. bah-bah. Unbeknownst came a wolf: All in sheep-proof clothing, And proclaimed to the herd; That ‘uncertain times loomed’, And ‘it be best befit a disguise; As a wolf’. `oh why do such a thing? ’ cried the sheep to their dismay. In surly reply, he exclaimed ; ‘lo, to protect you from them predators, Being matched with same clothes; Should you be spot, Shall assuage their wonton appetite, And keep you safe from suspicion’. And so beguiled, And forgetting their nature, all the sheep agreed, Donning their camouflaged wolves Clothing. No sooner said by the wolf, And consented by the sheep, Did the wolf slip away. So, right back to his pack of wolves, did he go. And now, the plan contrived, And ready to attack, the wolves prepared. Slowly; one by one, As, already agreed, The wolves mixed in upon the herd of, Gullible sheep, seemingly undisturbed. In place and ready to take on the prey: A bloody onslaught ensued, On that pasture plain, on that day. © 2022 England777Author's Note
