My Love, My WorldA Poem by EnfuriationSometimes fear can make us distort our perception into the negativity of our past, so much so that we don't give reality the chance it deserves.
My love
My love My heart does swell At the thought of you Your presence one of constant delight A consistency so foreign to your own life And the same stranger to mine You are, my calm. Steady and true and light. It's why my soul is fixated Unable to turn its gaze So delighted at the brilliance before it And sometimes When im with you I get stuck far into the future And forget my present existence Living in a land of idealized love Without realistic restrictions But then, I see That those things don't even matter And that as long as I'm with you I can smile. And sometimes It hurts so much Not to be without you, well, yes that too, But to think of how that could mean We aren't healthy, that I'm dependent And thats bad. Such a terrifying thought As I could never see it before. But sometimes It dawns on me That toxicity is an affect And if I can laugh and cry in the same day And do both with you or call you And you'll be there for me That how could this be wrong... And then, I think That i don't cry because I'm missing you Well yes.. that too.. And I don't cry because I'm filled with sadness Okay... that too But, really, I'm crying Because of you absence And the realization that you.. Make me so happy that I forget that I'm sad. My love. My love. You are my light. And like a ship set to sail I do depend on you But am not dependent. And like narcotics My very blood craves you But are not toxic. My love. My love You are moon light and sun rise And the warmth and the breeze You are laughter and tears Heartache and rejoicement. You are my past For which I look unto to grow You are my present For which I cling to to remain grounded You are my future For which I gaze upon and reach up tall You are my world. And it is a beautiful world, indeed. 11/18/2020 © 2020 Enfuriation |
