The Turn

The Turn

A Poem by Enfuriation

The emotion I feel when
I remember that night
Is overwhelming
I can recall the pain
Instantaneously
The fight or flight
The crippling agony
The hatred and
Writhing anguish
And then
Relief?
A feeling so foreign
So forgotten
A glimpse..
Of light in the darkness
So cliche.
But so true.
As you rounded that corner
And my chest tightened
How?
How did you find me
Through all the confusion
Random direction
How were you there.
Why were you there.
What if I hadn't turned...
If you didnt know it was me...
Where would we be now?
I cant even imagine.
But I'll never forget.
The moment I realized you loved me.

In reference to the night of May 25th
