You

You

A Poem by Broken Wings

I saw you from a distance.
You didn't know I was there.
I watched as you stood there,
Your hair waving in the air.

The night was hot,
Yet I felt cold.
I think you might have
Taken my soul.

Your eyes burn through me.
They are like big, green, grassy meadows.

Your lovely hair
Swayed in the air.

But then you looked,
And saw my face.
Your face was perfect.
Not one flaw.

You made your way over
And I think I fell in love.
