Chapter 22A Chapter by Broken Wings
Chapter 22 Michaels pov
"God I'm going to be late!" I kept running through this small town. The Brokkel inn was just ahead and I had to get there on time. "S**t it's already noon!" The inn was in sight. I was running down the street until I came to the old abandoned inn. I opened the door just to see a bruised and beaten Hope. "What the hell happened to you? Benjamin where are you?!" I yelled "Well right her of course." He stood up behind Hope. "Get away from her! I have your money!" I threw the small bag of gold across the floor. "Hmmm I don't know if this is fair trade. Such little money for such a beautiful girl." He stroked he bruised cheek "Fine here's more!" I threw more money at him. "Hmm you know what...I say we fight for her." He pulled out a sword and came near me. I was so out of energy. I couldn't do this. But I would do it to protect Hope. "Fair enough." I pulled out my sword as well One quick swing from Benjamin started the fight. Clashes and clanks echoed through the room. But before I know I was thrown to the floor with a sword cutting through my shoulder. The pain was excruciating. But I had to win, I had to save Hope. I kicked him off of me in one quick movement. Then just as fast as I had gotten him off of me I was on top of him. "Ready to die?" I asked as I lunged the sword straight down into his chest. He was immediately dead I limped over to where Hope was tied up and cut the ropes. "Michael!" She got up and hugged me. "Ahh no....it hurts..." I groaned "Sit down....let me try something." I obediently sat down and she held her hands over my shoulder. "What...wha-" "Shhh...." She closed her eyes and kept her hands in the same place. She whispered some words I couldn't hear and then a faint orb of light was formed around my injured shoulder. As I kept looking I noticed the cut getting smaller and smaller until there was barely a trace of a scar. "How did you....?" I looked at her amazed "My mom use to be a healer...and I thought maybe I was too." She smiled at me. I then felt my shoulder. It didn't even hurt. It's almost as if it never happened. I smiled at her and grabbed her hand. "Put on your clothes and we'll find somewhere to stay for the day." © 2013 Broken WingsAuthor's Note
