Chapter 16 Leon's pov

So after August helped me nurse all my wounded appendages I went to apologize to Hope.

"Hope, we need to talk." I said as I walked into her and Michael's

"Learn to knock." Was all she said

"I'm sorry for what I did. I know it's dads and its important to you...but August is important to me....so I just thought you'd be okay with it. I was wrong to give to him without asking you if it was okay....but Hope I really am sorry.." I looked down at my feet as I apologized to her.

"It's okay bro." She got up and gave me a hug, "I know you love him...so it's okay...mom and dad would be happy for you and so should I."

"Thank you...." I held her in the hug for awhile....cause I know soon I'm going to have to let her go. She's growing up two fast....soon she'll be the ruler of our nation and she'll be gone. I kissed the top of her head.

"I love you Lee.." She said as she continued to embarrass me

"I love you too." And in just a few weeks this once little girl will slip out of my fingers again and become a ruler of all. But I'm not ready to let her go.

I walked into the room and I saw the two of them hugging. I think I even saw a tear or two escape from Hope's eyes. It's sad seeing the two of them like this. They both know what's coming and they both know we have to go.

Leon and Hope have a special relationship, I know things will be okay when we leave. August will take care of the four year old trapped in a twenty eight year olds body. And I...I'll take care of Hope.

Although our family will be here we have to do our duty....sadly it requires us to leave everything behind.
