My Wonderful Night

My Wonderful Night

A Story by S.C.
"

This is a true story about my great time at Homecoming.

"
While I stood at the game booth that I was running for half an hour, I saw him walk in. My heart fluttered. He was so handsome. Making his way towards me, I couldn't hold back my smile. Once he walked up to me, I said, " There's a frog stuffed animal you have to win me. It's so cute." He smiled and asked, "How much are the tickets." I told him the price and he left to go by tickets. My friend and I that were running the booth were dancing and messing around. Once he came back he and his friends tried to win the frog but they all couldn't do it. They all left and sat down waiting for my shift to be over so I can go be with him. Time passed slowly. Once my shift was over, I went over to him and hugged him. We sat down and talked for a while. We held hands, laughed, messed around; the usual couple stuff. After a while we both made our way to the ticket booth and helped out there. We were messing around and having a great time. When our shift was over we stood there talking. He bought me a stuffed animal snake. He is so sweet. He placed his hands on my waist and I got closer to him. We were having a light and fun conversation when he leaned in and kissed me. It wasn't a long kiss but the sweet short simple kind. Our arms stayed around each other while we looked at one another. Then we had more conversations and more messing around. His friends would come over every now and again, same with mine. Then my friends decided to do a group picture so we waited in line for that. While we waited I was twirling around to 50's music. Once the picture was done we all walked back to where we were earlier. A slow song came on and everyone was pressuring us to dance. They kept trying to force us. Half way through the song, I put my arms around his neck and he put his hands around my waist. We swayed slowly, having a small conversation. We would stare at each other in the dim light and sometimes I would lay my head on his shoulder. It seemed as if time stopped. It was just him and I. My hair got tangled into his mouth so I laughed and moved it out of the way. One hand slid farther down my waist, to the point where it was only partly on my waist. We stayed like this for a few minutes even when the dance was over. We didn't let go. We didn't want to say goodbye. I wanted to be forever stuck in this moment. Then when the lights were back on he kissed me again. Not a long kiss but a sweet one. We stood close together til I had to leave. My sparkley dress caused sparkles to e all over his face and his jacket. We laughed and said, "If I'm all over you then the sparkles are all over you." Once my ride was here we hugged and said goodbye. I wish this night could never end. It was the perfect night with the perfect guy.
