My Angel

Recently my boyfriend passed away, so this poem is to honor him.

Numbness filled my body.

It seemed unreal.

You couldn't have died.

We were meant to be.

Tears poured down my face.

Knowing that I would never hear from you again crushed me.

I couldn't breathe,

And I still can't.

 

Everyday feels the same,

Its gloomy and cold.

This pain is unbearable,

I don't feel alive anymore.

The days pass and I still sit here in shock.

Forever came quicker than it was suppose to.

 

I hardly sleep.

Even though I know that your spirit lays beside me.

I can't make it a day without tears,

Even though you, my angel, are always right beside me.

Your name is branded into my heart.

How can I move on when the love of my life is dead?

sorry for your loss. This was well written though even with the hardship of putting the words down. This is how you felt at that moment, I don't think you should change it. It could not be more real with editing, this is how you vented, this is how it should stay
