Towards the Sky

Towards the Sky

A Poem by En.Ki

It comes again

The tight knit grip of frozen sin

Come home to end this...

but why...

Can we set aside your broken hearts to just breath for a minute

What pushes the brain beyond the walls of it's dreams

If suicide is soaked in sin

Show me where life has been lacking

Let me pick up your slack

So instead of ending

You can begin again.

A thousand years have passed since my lips have become sealed

bidding my time for the moment we should ever meet again

in a second you become a memory,

of what I used to be

of what we used to be

Hold your head up high

Towards the sky

to the night

to the light

do not fight

I've been waiting so damn long

to see you in your home

with a purpose

with feeling

now there is nothing there to see...

Can we set aside your broken hearts to just breath for a minute

What pushes the brain beyond the walls of it's dreams

If suicide is soaked in sin

Show me where life has been lacking

Let me pick up your slack

So instead of ending

You can begin again.

If I could

I'd bring you back

Rearrange your motives

Pick out the facts

so that you could leave

without an open ended question...

for your family,

for me...

Maybe someday I'll see you again

Where ever we may go...

Just know you left a burden

a fire scortched hole,

in all of our hearts...
