Can I breathe again?

Can I breathe again?

A Poem by En.Ki

Can I breathe again?

It seems the air I took in is getting thin

Don’t you remember when,

I said I ‘d hold my breath

When you said you wouldn’t leave

I spent 4 years hiding

Trying to keep it all in me

You’ve spent those years reading

All my misery

I only wanted you

It’s there that I ‘am now

Finally I'm not sick

or stricken with my fits

I only want to be

With you

It seems I’ve found my way

Why has it taken so long for me to see

That the reason you won’t leave is something beyond me

Beyond the tears I bleed…

It seems I became more of who I was

You let me try to find myself,  and whispered to create

I can’t help noticing your're still smiling

Through all my intuition beyond all my prohibitions

You found me…

You see

I put a facade, but I died once your arms… too many

So can I begin to breathe?

It seems the air is getting thin

I hope  you can remember when,

I said I ‘d hold my breath in

When you said you wouldn’t leave
