Burning Bridges

Burning Bridges

A Poem by En.Ki

Confounded

surrounded

I found it

Easier to bleed,

When you’re not next to me

I’ve placed this

F*****g hatred

Away, you’ll see

I over came this

F*****g front

Leave me be

Stop calling me.

Find the bright lights

Show us your fame

Remind me of better times

Times you were away

If I fell then you pushed me

If I jumped then you lie

If I caved inside your memories

My dream becomes denied

Seek and follow

The path I chose

I remember what you said to me

How I needed you

You gained my trust

You burned my bridge

If you thought I blamed you then

LOOK AT ME NOW…

If I fell then you pushed me

If I jumped then you lie

If I caved inside your memories

My dream becomes denied

I spent so long

Deciding to give in,

I ruined a stable home

To live in pig pens

I made a choice to be with you

When they all said it wrong

I broke my concentration

I broke a home into,

I left the comfort of always knowing…

To finally be with you…

Seek and follow

The path I chose

I remember what you said to me

How I needed you

You gained my trust

You burned my bridge

If you thought I blamed you then

LOOK AT ME NOW…
