The Night, It Is I

The Night, It Is I

A Poem by En.Ki

Oh where does my head lay at tonight
under softend stars do my eyes glow bright
burning to waver the sorrow and fright
I end this chaos with a close of my eyes...
Born are the keepers
the true burdened ones
They're building the structures
of the long way home
It's time to save face and announce our new saviour
is it I?
I crave the favor
Oh save me
carry me through your wind
create me
only fractures in the time frame of sin
ah, but where to begin
with my lips locked in silence
we inflict the violence
the sorrow within
We see
beyond the morrow'd fencing
past all your guise
with our valid disguises
borrowed surprises and original sins
'cause bored are the keepers
My true burdened ones
They're building the fortress
of our awaited home
It's time to save grace and rapture as saviour
Is it I?
I crave the favor...
