Creeping Through

Creeping Through

A Poem by En.Ki

Looking down

Passed the front row

Deep beyond the “you know”

Saddened, forced in conflict

I thought it would get easier

I thought it would just go…

Creeping through the darkness

Shadows aligned

If only for a second

A small moment in time

In my mind

I see the blending

The bending of my soul

Latching on to forgiveness

Burying old bones…

Breaking in sufficient

Broken memories

The shelves our life is sitting on

Temporary…

But impatiently I’ve dwelt

I dealt with all the bullshit

I held on for so long

Fighting passed the memories

I forget what it’s like to have you gone…

Looking down

Passed the front row

Deep beyond the “you know”

Saddened, forced in conflict

I thought it would easier

I thought it would just go…

You know

Everything

You gave

All you have

I fell

So hard

How can I dig myself from this hole….

I thought it would get easier

I thought it would just go…

Just go
