Just Move On

Just Move On

A Poem by En.Ki

Here we lay again

we fall asleep to dream

To stitch seams of better things

To heal our lives

We burned bridges the other day

Set them all ablaze

While she plucked my heart strings in such a brutal way

Why did we ever start to trust her

again?

We've both been here before,

With shut windows and locked doors

Holding on to what it was before

We're to full of pride,

To show a softer side

So we cover our path with vines

To watch it become overgrown.

Take the time

To realize, we're doing this for them

Take your eyes and see the lies

The ones that left us bound and gagged...

It's time to move on

So just move on already...

You know that trust can be decieving

All the things she does when we're not around

Holding herself into position

to recieve our children,

Our world

It's the attention

It's a motivation

It's a race that's not worth pacing

She's cutting the thread of what little patience I have left...

Take the time

To realize, we're doing this for them

Take your eyes and see the lies

The ones that left us bound and gagged...

It's time to move on

So just move on already...
