Slayer of DaysA Poem by En.KiShe paints a portrait with skies of grey She sings songs of virtue in the middle of my dismay We burned to the ground A love she had found And we left her to wither away Come, calm your senses Yearn for the world of the worms The infected… Her foreign resurrection From the ground, where we left her Who knew her time would scar us this way The slayer of days… She held life above all else In shadowed rooms, were flowers bloom They were loved even in decay… She found the way Through death she picks at my heart… At night she tears me apart… I can hear her now Screaming her silent screams I can feel her now Slitting the veins of the day An angel of night Killing the sunrise… Hold the dust above my head Drink the blood of the dead Hold the rusted nail in my veins Deepening it's severed ways Cutting life from the outside The bringer of night The slayer of days… Cast me down the furrowed halls The place we yearned and longed to fall A distilled moment of grace Place my hand inside your vines Tear the heart so divine That I may find What I am after...
