LostA Poem by Lavery the Librettist
Am I alone, just me,
All these voices, they can see me. Pulled in so many directions, I'm so mixed up, I scream, I cry, enough, stop. Take your pills dear, it will help, My heart wills me, but my head starts to melt. I'm in a blur now, can anyone hear me? I can't live like this, really! Lost and drowning, in my own thoughts, I'm in a whirlwind, my stomachs in knots. It's so dark and bleak here, my mere existence, I just want to feel nothing, silence. I could just end it now, who would notice, A jabbering nutcase, a suffering head case. Sweating, panting, eyes filled with tears, All that remains is a headstone, for a girl of just twenty years. © 2013 Lavery the LibrettistReviews
