ForgivenessA Poem by Lavery the LibrettistWhen to forgive
When to forgive, when to forget,
It maybe too early, to be normal just yet. Sorry has been said, actions are regretted, I don't know how to fix this, our friendship now neglected. Many bad things said in anger, most that weren't meant, If only we had talked before we started to vent. I didn't mean to do it, it was stupid and in anger, I understand if we can not speak any longer. Assumptions we both made, harsh things we both did say, I really hope we can make up for this one day. You are still my best friend, even though you may still be hurting, And the fact we are still talking, is a good sign that I am trusting. © 2013 Lavery the Librettist |
