A conversation with my friendA Poem by EmpressPoetessSomeone asked me what inspires me. The is one of many things of nature and life, that inspires my muse. What, friend, has your heart in such straits? come, let us share troubles heart to heart I shall seek your comfort and peace in words listen, beloved. Do you not know the rain? how gentle is her caress, cool and weightless! poured upon parched desert lands and hearts a source of delight to the young upturned face how sweet her silence is, soothing to ones ear, when in need of a place to put the chaos how clean she slides down, cool, to the skin; refreshing and pure, rain is, cleansing away refuse she brings into the world renewed life in spring, the cherry blossoms and willows drink of her gift what floral bouquet glistens proudly lest she comes? hear now! who does not listen for her message? And find within oneself in that calm, quiet place to put away things of unjust and pain, but find solace come, let us sit on the porch with food and drink Yes, seek comfort and hold hands, you and I and let us, you and me, dream and contemplate of life and love, and listen attentive to the wisdom found out there, in the quiet behind the rain' © 2012 EmpressPoetessAuthor's Note |
