Love's Eternal Impulse

Love's Eternal Impulse

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

The wonders of love and passion:
in those moments of deep intimacy

After the fire has been extinguished
warm, tiny embers slowly smolder

when two slip into as soft afterglow
there is that present sense of peace

that remains between two sighing souls
lingering whispers in soft warm light

the feel of loving arms holding you close
love's quiet impulse to tenderly share

and passion's gentle urge to freely take
of our minds, our bodies and our souls

into the sweetest, most intimate places
praying those precious moments never end

and each time two come together this way
and the world outside out this room fades

beyond these wonderful mysteries two share.
what a grand gift of love from God above…
