"Just five more minutes!!"

I know some of you can relate to this one! Many, many hours are lost on the net that could be spend talking to a live person; like your kids, marriage mate, parents, etc, etc.

I sit in my old chair typing away
my mouth's gone dry, my hair's in disarray
my big backside has grown wide and numb
the look on my tired face must be quite dumb

this internet shopping's out of control
my poor kids are now on dinner patrol
'I just need one more minute to buy this!'
I spit out the words with a nervous hiss

I thought I was married but where's my man?
I briefly inquire, then back to my scan
my browser is blinking from hours of use
my need of a bath has become profuse!

doomed to a life of eccentricity
unless I pay my electricity
but that just may be my biggest issue
I moan as I grab a box of tissue

I cried to my husband, oh, what's his name?
I looked up with chagrin, feeling deep shame
'Babe, do you want to hear something funny?
that Home Shopping Network took our money!'

Loved it! Wow, this is superb and I guess many could relate ! Soon we will be able to structure everything around the 'net', shopping, paying bills, you name it! What a sad world, to just see life through the eyes of a computer!
