Solitary visions

Solitary visions

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Touched by sweet winds
in morning

lying awake contemplating
the wren's song

solitary visions sweep across
the horizon of gold

as dew kisses the rising day
i am awash in memories

winter's chill remains inside
crushing my bones

Oh but to see the love that
sprang anew last spring

melt the ice in my heart
and plant love's seed

to bloom in me
yet still.
