Distinctions

Distinctions

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

As I approach the dim quasi realm
and peer into its dense reflection
I'm praying that it not overwhelm
as I delve into its lost perfection

one side compels a future of light
while seeking the power from within
the other, that which stirs deep night
a struggle from both sides does begin

but both sides begin to tear and fray
I sense the dark side will bring me pain
so with mounting courage I turn away
thus stands the bright side, here to remain

Approach both sides if you so dare
the dual realms hold mystery and flair
be bold and daring, but you take care
you may not like what you find there.

Reflections and recollections... seeing inside and seeing what others see... What a profound glimpse into heart and soul, as well as our dreams undone. Amazing write.
