Love is in the air

My beloved.
You are warmth captured in sun rays
you are the sand that draws me ashore
I being the tide in need of your earthiness
anchor-less I’d be, lost without your security

My shelter is within the power of your embrace
you are strength, solid, as the great cedar
my devotion lies within your sturdiness
with tender heart and deep passion, I acquiesce

The rhythm of your heart is a love motion
a calming elixir that whispers of deep love
your passionate breeze blows within my soul
gentle lover, my devotion is to this love

If not for you, where would my soul live?
but you must know, beloved, this truth,
you being the spirit upon my winds
your love is the earth from which I bloom.

How very lovely - infused with the spirit of life, with those natural elements that flow through our beings and sustain our emotions and longings... The contrast of the sind and the earth is finely sketched and we sense that each elemnt has need of the other.... I loved this poem.
