Oh, how I know this sentiment. Very well communicated emotion. My only thought is thatin the fourth stanza you might add "he" doesn't rub my feet. Maybe it was a typo but it threw me off.
I love this poem I feel the hurt from missing the one you love and the dealing with trying to move on. I myself can identify with this it's crazy that most of the time the one you love doesn't last forever.
The light touch and the jaunty rhyme was just right for this whimsical reflection on what many must feel about a second love... Nothing ever replaces the first grand passion!
