What you hunger forA Poem by EmpressPoetessSometimes the reality is greater than the expectations of life.
I climbed the latter
of great expectation that led me to nowhere and looked into emptiness I felt for the door to oblivion yearning it to take me there to that soft padded place yearning it to take me there but misery it was that kept me company I tripped the switch to happiness and found folly waiting there woe grasped my shirt tail I dragged it around with regret I kept trying to play it cool so I wore those rose colored glasses for awhile and half awhile The life for which I'd sought was much better from afar sometimes the Ferris wheel stops at the top of the world, it seems plant your feet, for the fall is coming! Hahaaa! yeah, little blue pills plus pretty red wine equal happy so says the moment, the liar! © 2011 EmpressPoetessReviews
