Soft notes of romance

Soft notes of romance

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Alight by a blue moon’s sultry light

Beneath a velvet summer’s eve

starlight dances ‘bout us slowly

delighting in our secret romance

Beyond their twinkling, fiery gaze

your loving arms reach out for me

We melt together, cinnamon & honey

Among sweet floral blossoms

Allow the sitar’s lilting wail

To serenade our racing hearts

open this night with chilled wine

red, as the dark crimson rose

intoxicate your lips ‘pon mine

whispered sweet nothings flow

smooth and low, as soft jazz notes

from  eager sweet lips of fire

tracing warmth along my neck

that settle deep in my soul

our bodies entwine  in secret bliss

and our hearts join as one

Cosmos arises in brilliance and glory

Aligning earth and sky as one

T’is our sign love does approve
