I'll put something out todayA Poem by EmpressPoetessJust musing.......(:It’s miserably cold in here today The wind blows but I can see a sun ray So I should put something out today
He came home last night, but not to stay Just to say he’s leaving, he’s got to get away Silence screams, but I’ll put something out today
Keeping my head up, trying to face the day Trying to convince myself I’ll be okay It’ll help if I put something out today
I’ll pen a song with such a sweet melody To flow as bright and smooth as honey Recalling a smile or a kiss to memory
There was great pleasure in loving you It’s not easy to accept that we’re through What a blow you gave me to get used to
I was all wrapped up in love yesterday Now I’m shrouded in tears of dark dismay My heartaches, but I’ll put something out today No matter what, my muse will flow anyway. © 2010 EmpressPoetess |
