Goodbye, I won't cry

Goodbye, I won't cry

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Now there was a time when you loved me so

But there came a time when I let me go

See, I was your girl who would hold it down

Then you cheated on me, you ran around

But you found out that by cheating on me

Being alone ain't what it’s cracked up to be

You didn’t think I’d do it put you outside

Now you look like a fool `cause you denied

You tried to play me but you got played

A better man now sleeps where you once lay

He knows how to treat a woman like me

With love and respect, not with misery

Your reward for your rank stupidity

For giving up a precious jewel like me

Is a lifetime of cold and lonely nights

While I’m being taken on passionate flights

Now you’re begging me back, no way my dear

Since you’ve been gone I haven’t shed one tear

I’ve got a man who never makes me cry

So there’s nothing left to say but, goodbye!

(the first line is from a song called “how you like me now”

By a band called The Heavy, album titled “The house that dirt built”)

This is direct, witty and too the point and if I was the guy reading it, I would be feeling low. I love it!
