The whitest rain

The whitest rain

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Beyond the world’s stark reality

Dripping with a chilling mist

Where blacken clouds glide slowly

I saw a face of tenderness

Beyond this canvas plain

Behind the whitest rain

Can the end be, of my misery?

I can but place my hope there

Can surrealism become reality?

I place my heart upon this dare

My en-caged heart beats wildly

Straining against its prison bond

To touch the other that’s like me

To share a gentle love beyond

Beyond this dry canvas plain

I’m dreaming of the whitest rain

A rain so pure it brightly glistens

Revealing things not known before

To cause the pulse start to quicken

With tender love forever more
