My trek through depression's fireA Poem by EmpressPoetessAs real as it gets!
Reaching from the darkness I did arise As my life flashed in front of my eyes This festering itch of anguish I scour With salves of healing words, hour on hour
My mind searches, hungering to heal fast Digging through pain filled mental trash But time burns that old trash into ash
That I may become filled with serenity Pick the chards of reflection’s glass From my deeply wounded, jaded past
Comfort me where peaceful water flows Let me sip from it’s cool, healing recesses Where I may find relief from lives stresses © 2010 EmpressPoetess |
