Lately,
My foolish heart
Keeps telling me
That I should just go
And I think maybe so
But my mind says stay
We made our love this way
I need to know before I go

Do we keep our love
the way we’ve made it
Or can we fix things
before I become jaded

Your foolish heart
Tells you I was wrong
That you tried for so long
Who’s wrong, who’s right?
Let’s just stop this fight
Remember the sweet kissing
and the tenderness that's missing

tell me, baby
Do we keep our love
The way we’ve made it
Or do we want to fix things
Before I become jaded*

Tell me, will you stay here
or seek love else where
Tell me, I need to know
Before I pack up and go

Oh baby, tell me
Do we keep this love
The way we’ve made it
or do we want to fix it
before I become jaded*

I agree that this would make a great song. Anyone who has ever truly loved with all of their being only to have angry words, thoughtlessness, and disfunction whittle it down to a fragile thread, can relate to this. You've given voice to the silent screams of a broken heart. Beautifully penned.

This has truly lyrical qualities and would make a great song... Sadly, it's hard to fix those tender moments of love - but we can fix all of love's experiences in our words and in our minds
