Portrait of loveA Poem by EmpressPoetessEntry in the When the Painting is done
My beloved, lend your ear to my plea Hear, please, of my undying love for thee A girl am I, of timid, tender years Vowing words of faithful love in my tears
Find favor in this for which I so crave That at the center of artistic schemes You color me as the girl of your dreams
With tender brushstrokes a love will begin With every shade of color that you swirl Paint me and you inside this canvas world
Pure elements of love and passion blend To grow in times eternal, to the end so when the painting is finally done You and I will have blended into one. © 2010 EmpressPoetessReviews
