All askew

All askew

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

"

You made for me a fantasy
and now it's all askew
my revelry’s a fantasy
of wanting you

I could not see my destiny
would be me, losing you
So now I see, I foolishly
Chose to be blue

Give me a chance to start romance
Again with you my dear
I’ll capture moonbeams
Spin stars in your dreams
 my aim is clear

To dedicate my heart to you

Never again to make you blue

I felt that the rhythm became a little ragged on the way through but the emotional loss was well conveyed... The notion of being 'all askew' got across the turmoil following the loss of friendship...

I love the frustration in the visualization of the askew. There is a great finality in your poem of brevity.
