The cold

The cold

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Teardrops on

Cold black marble

   Frigid and wintry winds

Alone, outside your love

A place vast in it’s coldness

Naked and bare of any solace

Thus am I, this lover without love

beyond the dark Heylon fields, I lay

barren in its tears, is my broken heart

much moving imagery here

Thus am I, this lover without love
beyond the dark Heylon fields, I lay
barren in it's tears, is my broken heart

well put....

Sad and majestic - the image of the cold black marble was cold indeed.... Powerfully felt and expressed...

(btw it's = it is; its = belonging to it)

Wow! Such deep emotions
Love can be cold and die out!
This is very well expressed.
