Hearts Respond

Hearts Respond

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

With but a glance I know
That love has found us still
With hearts as pure as snow
Beyond the twilight’s will

Before the night recedes
We'll have that which we yearn
in thoughts and charming deeds
love’s passionate return

in breathless whispered sighs
warm lips soft and yielding
the fire in jade green eyes
young lovers flame yet building

In nights of sweet splendor
We share beneath the moon
tasting sweet surrender
Like jasmine’s birth in June
