Two lonely pillows

Two lonely pillows

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

I brave the dawning of morning
Breaking across the horizons
between two lonely pillows
my heart breaks into tears

Mornings used to give me glory
But not without your touch
They now bring me misery
And unending loneliness

What heart pants in its solitude,
What gay expression fills the room
When one is left in the coldness
Of shattered hopes and dreams?

Paint me on a canvas of tranquility
Brush me with joy everlasting
Draw upon my face, a smile
And print my heart in love eternal
