Autumn Breeze

Autumn Breeze

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Cooly and crisply , you rustle thru the trees
I anxiously  await thee, Autumn Breeze!

Whip at the ground
Disturb the fallen leaves!
They dance in glee
A welcome to thee, Autumn Breeze!

Whistle at me, you tease
Billow my skirt,  you flirt
I've missed thee, Autumn Breeze!

Campfires and candles shudder & weave
As restlessly,  upon them you breathe
Rouse thyself, Autumn Breeze!

At the dawn of day, I love to greet thee
Thru my open window, flow in
to start the day with me
As the night graciously flees,
Refresh me , Autumn Breeze!

Your season is here, we'll celebrate with cheer
And many harvest dances and revelries
A toast!  welcome back, Autumn Breeze!

Loveliness... I dig this scribe poet. Fall is my favorite season...such a compelling tribute to that cool, crisp, "Autumn Breeze." Nice.
