Autumn Jubilee

Autumn Jubilee

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Summer is gone at last!
the heat is a thing of the past!

Gone is the stuffy start of day
the cool autumn breeze
takes my breath away!

Autumn mornings joyously rule!
and the nights are magically cool

I'm energized by the wind
I breathe it in, it cools me within!

I could dance all night
under the autumn moonlight!

Kicking my feet through golden leaves
falling from the big oak trees

Autumn stars are especially bright
bringing thoughts of romantic delight
becaue  these are called "snuggling nights"!

I welcome you back with joy and cheer
Autumn!  My favorite time of year!
