Unbridled passion

Unbridled passion

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Oh! But to melt into this delirious plight
In your arms, on this blue moon night
Lips so soft to envy the ripeness of a peach
But a breath’s width away, so near your reach
                                      (~)
Tend this soft flesh with fingers of deep care
Lose thy fingers within the lushness of my hair
Lay me down within the splendor of the grass
Touch me tenderly with your gentle caress
                          (~)
Embrace me; pull me into the nearness of you
Whisper softly of what our love does imbue
Intensity flashes of yearning in jade green eyes
I tremble, I gasp, lost in love with deep sighs
                                   (~)
But to kiss you into dawn’s warm light
Within this passion found upon a star filled night
Your happiness is my utmost pleasure
The joy felt in your embrace, there is no measure
                    (~)
Tis a reality thy self longs for so rapturously
A perfect match made between you and me
Join mouth to mouth, soul to soul, and heart to heart
And seal our love, which no man should put apart

This is a very charming romantic piece of writing, with a slightly Elizabethan feeling about the style...

'Tend this soft flesh with the fingers of deep care' - nice way of putting it. The line 'The joy felt in your embrace, there is no measure' seemed a bit awkward; like the last line, there is a roughness in the rhythm. But that's poetry - and you would find plenty of precedents in the finest writers for jarring the reader a bit as the words and ideas tumble out.

The passion is unmistakable, that's the thing. I enjoyed it.

Excellent write! I loved every line.......though I'm not surprised. I especially loved the last stanza.

You continue to grow in your craft and it is very evident in each new masterpiece that you create!

This kinda reminded me of something Shakespeare would write. You could really feel the passion in this poem and it contributed to make this poem very beautiful and lovely. I loved it.

stunning and beautiful, a poetess of romantic's dream of love surrendered with passion from the soul,
your words combine with metaphorical perfection to set the readers heart adrift, floating upon
sweet nothings meant to bring about a rapture in silence, when overshadowed by the whispered tone
of desire. surely the stars come out when reading this divine love poem, masterfully invented.

I like how it's wasn't too risque, nor bland. Good job.
