Cyber world love affairs

Cyber world love affairs

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Once upon a Cyber world love affair
Lonely hearts should never have gone there
Kisses never felt, into thin air
Fingertips tapping fiercely out there

Sensual sensations wrought by hands
Voices whisper of passionate demands
Loneliness seeks what loneliness can’t get
But painful reality shatters the intranet

Words of love given by web net lovers
Kept at heart, or shared with others?
How many saw your nudie pictures?
Who was, wasn’t who was said to be

Real love turned into a cyber fantasy
Ugliness reveals desperation’s need
Dark desires of cyber world greed
Screened saver perps prowl around

Evasively committing sexual crimes
Body snatchers, money catchers
A-one of the illusionist  crime tiers
Stay away from Cyber world love affairs

I am not totally against Internet dating. But it can be dangerous for those too desperate or too young, to take the nessary precautions. There are so many criminlas out there, seeking those weak at heart. Psoting nude pics is never safe. Public dating can be danderous as well, but cyberspace perps have a much broader field in which to prowl around in! Thanks for your comments!

Another nice poem but I think I will comment more on the topic... I can see what you are saying but in reality people can lie and deceive in public as well. I don't think it is a matter if you meet someone online or in person it is who you meet. In person and online people pretend who they are not and that leads to the downfall of many relationships... the think the advantage of online is you can get to know one another personally without sexual tension, the draw back is long distance can be a real problem. It is a great warning though that can at least make people think first before proceeding.

Cyber-love is indeed a treacherous affair - but I do believe it is possible to build up close friendships and even to share intimacies not possible in real life, in a way that is harmless and enjoyable. The main thing is to be honest and upfront and not to deceive with unreal promises..

Actually, your poem is a good warning - a kind of sermon poem *smiles*
